Ilana: Being an excellent clinician is something, but certainly rehearsing in a manner that was, that’s footed in evidence – I consider stimulates the difference between being a good clinician and being a really fantastic clinician. Ilana: One of the challenges that we are familiar numerous young people face is coming off medicine can be a really slippery age. So as a consequence of having done the Advanced Social Work program – we’ve looked at developing a survivorship program in our service which really improves cases like Alice cope coming off medicine because it enables us to address issues like fear of recurrence, like dealing with family relationships.Alice: Cancer can be quite a lonely and quite an isolating experience. And it was always good to know that I wasn’t going through this alone. Ilana: And having done the advanced planned has given me the ability to be able to assess what the needs are and then develop a programme designed and implement that to ensure better outcomes for young person like Alice.
