Ohio Medicaid s Managed Care Procurement beganwith a daring, brand-new vision to “focus on the individual rather than the business of managed care.” ODM wants to do better for the people it acts. ODM and the Single Pharmacy Benefit Manager, or SPBM will improve transparency, accountability, and effectiveness within ODM s pharmacy benefitsprogram by partnering with the PPAC, or the Pharmacy Pricing and Audit Consultant( PPAC) The Ohio Medicaid PPAC will assist and support ODM in conduct of two critical pharmacyservices serves pharmacy reimbursement and help designand pharmacy planned omission and auditingThe PPAC will be central to achieving transparency through its work in recommending reimbursementmethodology, deporting Cost of Dispensing or COD and Actual Acquisition Cost or AACsurveys, maintaining accurate and up-to-date AAC paces, and handling omission of thefunctions of both the SPBM and ODM s fee-for-service pharmacy interests administrator.The success of the ODM pharmacy program, withhelp from the PPAC, will be demonstrated by fair, accurate, and value-based reimbursementto pharmacies, ensuring the SPBM complies with ODM s beliefs.
