One man is dead after drowning near the shore of Katie’s Woods Park, Grapevine fire officials said in a statement.
A lake rescue crew was sent out shortly after 6:30 Monday evening looking for a swimmer that went under and did not resurface. Crews were eventually able to find the male victim where he was recovered by the Grapevine dive team shortly at 7:31 p.m. near the shore in about six feet of water.
Texas Games Wardens will handle the investigation.
