Despite the enticing subtitle “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore,” the second sequel to J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World franchise mirrors the first, which is to say that it feels like an extended prologue for a better movie that’s yet to materialize. In hindsight, Rowling should have funneled her Harry Potter prequel into a limited series, where leisurely pacing is more the norm.
