Well, what's there, was I saw my granddaughter and she wanted to take pictures. And so when we took the picture, she said, smile grandpa. And I said, no, I don't have my front teeth. And what was funny, she said, I don't have mine either. [laughs] My name is David, I had an All-On-4 by Dr. Guerrero. What I had was, a lot of crowns. I had enough crowns, I could play checkers. And one by one, they were falling out. What finally made the last one, was I was eating a grape. Ah, a grape, you know? I took a bite of it with my front teeth.
And they, came out. I would grind my teeth and so, they were coming out. And so certain, I would just eat anything, a bag of chips, and one would pop out. It was like you're almost afraid to eat anything, it's like a nightmare. You want to enjoy the food but you can't enjoy it. You'll never know when they'll come out. I think the only bright side was when Covid came.
Which was sad, but I got to wear a mask. So, nobody could see. I saw David in the clinic and his main concern, was his smile. He's got a very poor smile. He had had an accident and had a couple of broken teeth. He was not happy with his teeth. And we talked to the lab, talked to the prosthodontist, and we sit down and create a plan for him. And what I wanted is something that projected teeth forward that accommodated his upper and lower lip to those new teeth and had enough space for the tongue. So, I wanted to create an ideal environment for his oral cabin. So, I'm really happy with the outcome and and he's been a great patient. What was strange was there that I first thought, I thought I was still dreaming. You know, there was no pain at all. For the surgery at all. Not one bit. The deal about it, people understand it's more than a smile, you know.
Smile is the icing on the cake, you know? But it's to eat. You know, it's that you go to a restaurant, you look at the menu and you said, I can eat that. Don't want to eat that. Because you're afraid you're teeth might fall out, you know? So, now, I got to smile. And I get to eat. You know? That's a blessing that you wouldn't understand, unless you don't have teeth. My life has changed. This, they not only gave me a smile, it's changed my life. [music] [End].
