Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steve McCraw will hold a briefing on the Uvalde school massacre Friday morning at 11 a.m. Live video from the news conference will be available in the player at the top of this page.
On Tuesday, 19 children and two teachers were killed and more than a dozen others were injured when a gunman walked into Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas and began shooting.
A news conference by DPS Regional Director Victor Escalon on Thursday aimed at clearing up questions about the police response seemed to raise even more questions about the timeline of events and what resistance the gunman received prior to entering the school.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is also expected to speak Friday afternoon about the massacre.
This article will be updated after Friday morning’s news conference.
