Russia has launched a massive PR campaign in which the government is trying to recruit around 400,000 volunteers. Those that sign a contract with Russia’s defence ministry are promised a monthly salary worth at least $2,450, a daily bonus of around $100 for taking part in offensive military operations and at least $615 if they capture or destroy enemy weapons and military equipment.
