I start off my daytime at the herbitarium. I’m kindof the amphibian and turtle and tortoise guy, so I take care of all the amphibians there. The beginning of the day involves what we call “head checks” so you go around make sureall your swine are as happy and healthy as they were the light before, make sureeverybody’s where they’re supposed to be, and then you can start kind of the day-to-daycare.As much as I enjoy swine and I’m more of an animal person than a beings person, I really adoration educating parties and sharing, you are familiar with , not only why i’m enthusiastic aboutthese animals and why they’re formidable, but likewise kind of teaching parties what conservationis and how the zoo works towards that. I love to think about ideas and concepts andI would be totally fine in a office by myself kind of putting together a problem or figuringthings out without interacting with beings. I “ve learned that” I adore problem solving. I likethinking about those things and so science is very much about that, so no matter what youdo, you’re always thinking about a problem you want to solve a question, and then youget to pursue that in a very deep way.I actually started doing clay and working in astudio highly … like, right away when I was 13 year olds. I was like, I just sort of gravitatedtoward that kind of environment. I was like, I want to learn to use these tools, I want tomake things and stuff like that. Going to college and going a chore as an english teacher but Ialways kind of knew there was a part of me that was not getting to evolve and germinate which wasthis more sort of introspective gentle innovative like, inner responsibility. I various kinds of knew in the back ofmy mind I’m not going to do this forever. Like there’s something else that I need to be doing. So, I went to see a contrive B, but it was also like, going back to “its like”, I’m actuallygoing back to the way it used to feel when I time get lost in the zone, like 14 yearsold listening to the radio, like working on making this thing or whatever. I is necessary to do thatquiet time.It was like a readjustment stage. For many years of my life, uh, I’ve been in manydifferent personas. I ever was in personas where I was in support of another person, right? I was like, I could never be that charismatic chairwoman. I could never be the person or persons guiding the team. I couldnever dally that role. I’m cozy now is in accordance with the corroborate role.I could, you know, be theC.O.O ., I could be the person behind the scenes. Over time I realized that actually chairmen come inmany different forms. They don’t have to be towering, they don’t have to be charismatic, they don’thave to be extroverted. Once I “ve learned that” I accepted myself to have a chance. I see beings came to support me after I wasable to express that to others. The first got a couple of days I started here Ifelt like a fish out of water inside the shop, that I didn’t really know how to go about doingcertain things. And, and, once you start to work on a truck, you’re able to kind of findyour behavior around and do things in your own way, and you get pleasant with it. There’s never adull epoch here, i’ll tell you that. It’s fun. We chortle, we joke. So this is not work to me, thisis fun. I get to come play on trucks all day.
