move on into this content.

It's gonna be pretty good for you. All right, so let's dive
into today's content. I've got three things you're
gonna wanna do prior to doing any sort of alignment, whether
that's SmileDirectClub, Invisalign, Candid, braces,
definitely wanna do these three. Number one, you wanna make
sure that you go to a dentist that can make certain you
don't have any tooth decay. So regardless of the fact that
you don't have any symptoms, there's no pain, that doesn't mean that you don't have any decay. And that really concerns
me because if you were to do Invisalign or braces, especially braces maybe for two
years, two and a half years, you might find that the decay
you have could be pretty bad. Those treatments that you can
maybe order through the mail, that's a pretty big concern. You wanna make sure that you are healthy prior to aligning teeth, and
that you have no tooth decay. It can be very costly. You might be savin' some money
on the alignment, you think, but it could cost you a
fortune on fixing teeth that get much worse while
you're in treatment.

So first thing, make sure
you get a good diagnosis, good X-rays, good internal photos. Go to a dentist who can
help you make certain that you don't have any decay
prior to aligning your teeth. It's not just cavities either. It can be undiagnosed
infections that don't hurt, abscesses, gum disease,
periodontal disease. There can be a lot of
things that can really be wrecking havoc on your
teeth and on your smile, on the bone and tissue around your teeth. You wanna make sure you're really healthy. Number two, you may doing alignment to get the smile of your dreams. And if you're doing this
and you have peg laterals, which are small teeth, you have chipped and worn teeth, you maybe have some misshapen
teeth or poorly-sized teeth, all of these things, or let's
just say a bite is really bad, you wanna make sure all
those things are considered prior to aligning your teeth.

That way it can be part of the plan. For example, if somebody has peg laterals and we're moving the teeth
and we close all the gaps, and we didn't plan to make
those teeth a little bit wider with composite veneers
or porcelain veneers, then we may have just
set that patient up for having a smile that's less than awesome. If you had a bite that's pretty poor, just because you wanna extend
the length of your front teeth and your bite won't let you do that, if we don't plan for that while
we're aligning your teeth, then we kinda set you up
for not getting the result that you really wanted
by aligning your teeth. So it's important that the alignment fits into the restorative aspect of your smile, if that's something you're considering and you're trying to make sure
that your smile is whiter, brighter, and maybe
changing the shape and shade of some of your teeth with
some porcelain in the end.

That's why you wanna make
certain that you go to a dentist that's maybe done
a lot of cosmetic care, and can help provide either
the orthodontist some feedback, or maybe they're gonna do
the Invisalign themselves, that way you get a result that is awesome and you get the smile of your dreams. All right, and the third one is a big one because we see this all the time. I see it with orthodontic care. So braces done prior to
kinda restoring a smile and fixing the bite
and, it's missing teeth. So address missing teeth. That doesn't mean you put an implant in or do a bridge prior to treatment. It means it's part of the plan
as you are aligning teeth.

If you align teeth and don't consider where the roots might be
below the gums and the bone, then you would maybe not
have the consideration for enough space to place the implant. It's a real common one and
it's a real bummer for parents when their kid has been in
braces or Invisalign for years, and then they come in and
want an implant in the spot that they've been waiting
to create the space for because of a missing tooth. Maybe it's congenitally missing. And the roots are like this. And so that's why it's
really important that throughout the treatment
we design the Invisalign, the braces, the SmileDirectClub, whatever. It's gotta move those
roots apart so that way there's plenty room for that implant. So missing teeth are
important to consider. Even if it's a bridge it
would be an important thing to make sure that spacing is correct. It allows us to restore the missing tooth. So there you have it. I hope those three tips are
gonna be helpful for anybody considering SmileDirectClub,
Invisalign, braces, Candid.

There's a number of others
that are aligning teeth. Like I said, not really
getting into which one's best. You can obviously ask in
the comments section below. Maybe some questions that
might be pertaining to how I can help people
make a better decision when it comes to aligning
their teeth with which options might be best-suited for
your long-term health. But hopefully you've learned
that you gotta make sure that the decay, the gum infections, the overall health of
the mouth is addressed prior to aligning teeth, that
would be really critical. Saves you tons of money
and problems down the road. The second one is you definitely
wanna make sure that you've addressed any sort of
misshapen teeth, shade, bite considerations for
the cosmetic results. So what the smile's gonna
look like in the end so you can have the smile of your dreams. 'Cause that's what a lot of people are aligning their teeth
for is they're wanting to make the smile look better, and they may need some
porcelain to do that in the end, and that needs to be considered
in the alignment process.

And then lastly, if
you're missin' some teeth and you wanna straighten teeth out, make certain that there's a
plan for those missing teeth, whether it's implants or bridgework, that way you can get
that solid healthy bite after your teeth are finally aligned. Man, I hope that video was helpful. I know it was quite a bit,
but those three things should make a difference
when it comes to your smile, your long-term health, and
I hope it's helpful for ya. Maybe it's just common sense, but I think it's something
that can be easily ignored and people get excited and they're like, "I just wanna straighten the teeth out." And they forget these things
and I've seen it enough that I think it's a good thing
to encourage people to do is to address those concerns.

Awesome, if you found this
useful, hey, give it a thumbs up, like the channel,
subscribe to the channel. If you would, that would be awesome, and I look forward to seeing
you guys in the next video. Put in the comments section
if you have some topics that you would like me to
address in the near future. But until then, you have an awesome day, keep smilin', it looks good on you. Che..
