Hello and thank you for asking for singing in to this new trip report. I’m back at the airport of Edmonton. Last era I was here to fly with WestJet. Now, I’m flying with their new airline which they just liberated six months ago. I’m flying with Swoop and I’m going to Las Vegas. Unfortunately online check in didn’t work, so I’m now going to the checkin desk to get my boarding pass there. Well, let’s go and enjoy the move. So Swoop is an ultra low-cost carrier. And that meant that if you crave anything more than your set, you need to pay for it.Even choosing your own seat you have to pay for. For choosing my own set I paid ten dollars. But if you want to check in a case you have to pay thirty dollars. if you just wanted to bring a case on board you have to pay an extra thirty dollars. But you can bring a personal item for free, so today I’m traveling with simply my backpack, which had to fit right into the rack. And if it’s anything bigger they’ll hurl you with 50 dollars at the entrance. I don’t have to pay today, but for the next few epoches, I’ll be living out of my knapsack. After picking up my boarding pass I went through US Customs, saving me time upon newcomer, because my passport had already been stomped. And like with numerous airfields nowadays, you have to go through a short section of duty free shops.Shortly after that the barrier opened right on time. The aircraft were flying on today is a Boeing 737 -8 00. Swoop operates a total of six of these aircraft, which were all delivered to the parent company WestJet three years ago. The Swoop 737 has 189 seats. 21 more than WestJet. This is because the seat pitch is a little lower. But with my span the legroom was just enough for me. But if you’re any taller than a 1.83 m or 6ft, it might be a bit cramped for you. The set does offer an adjustable headrest and is fitted with a capability socket and a USB port. Each bench too come here for a garbage bag onboard menu and a defence card.All in luminous pink. Swoop really surprised me with the prices on the onboard menu. And bear in mind, these expenditures are in Canadian dollars. So a can of coke payments about $1,50 US. The aircraft is Wi-Fi enabled. 90 minutes of internet access payments about $11 and for the full flight $21. You can also watch a wide range of movies for free, but you do have to install the swoop app before retirement. Gradually we got closer to Las Vegas, but before the landing we encountered some unrest. This was administered very well by the gang. So, is ultra low-cost airline Swoop truly that much cheaper than Canadian legacy airlines like Air Canada? Looking at prices now – yeah, they’re somewhat cheaper. Nonetheless as soon as you want to making a carry-on suitcase, rates will be about equal if not cheaper with Air Canada Anyway, I actually experienced the flight and even though they’ve been in operation for simply six months, it feels very professional and I’d love to fight them again.I want to thank you very much for watching the video.
