hey everyone it's Sara Jane with Chic On The
Cheap and today we are starting a brand new series here on my channel where basically every
month I'm going to share items that I am loving from Dollar Tree I know you guys love it when I
test out the products before I share them with you so that's exactly what this new series is all
about new items new hacks and products that I think you should know about and now that I've said
all of that let's go ahead and get started [Music] okay so the first couple of items that I want
to share with you all come from the Dollar Trees party section and if you haven't been in this
section in a while you really need to go because there have been so many new items added over the
past couple of months but the one that impressed me the most has to be this balloon tower stand all
you need is this kit and some balloons to make a three foot tall balloon column and one tip if you
hate blowing up balloons grab one of these pumps you can usually find them near where the balloons
are being sold at Dollar Tree and this just helps to save your lungs I use this to pump up every
single balloon in this balloon column and I went with a patriotic theme with Memorial Day coming
up and also the 4th of July but you can easily make all kinds of balloon columns with different
color patterns for different events and I did use 17 balloons and they are the 12 inch balloons
from Dollar Tree and I do have a few ideas that I'll be sharing for different holidays over the
next year but it's pretty amazing that for only a dollar and 25 cents plus of course the balloons
you can make this that's going to be great for parties or special events another new product in
the party section are these balloon stands Dollar Trees had the balloon yardsticks for a while but
this is the first time they have given us balloons that can stand up on their own you can use these
as table markers or as simple decorations for a birthday party and I do have to say if you
want to put these outside I would recommend putting them in a small planter with some rocks
or doing something to weigh down the base just so they won't get knocked over or Blown Away by the
wind now of course you know the Dollar Tree party section has all kinds of decorations and candles
but one thing that caught my attention was this very high-end looking cake topper how awesome is
this for a dollar and 25 cents if you know anyone who has a birthday coming up this is a great item
to grab you just stick it on the cake and you're good to go and I was happy to see that Dollar Tree
brought back its sure living line where everything has an ocean or nautical theme these items are
great if you have a beach house or if you want to give your house a beach house feel but my favorite
thing from this year's collection has to be these little glass candle holders there are a few
different colors to choose from they look great with a little tea light candle inside of them
but did you know Dollar Tree solar lights will also fit on top so you can just stick this outside
and use it as a little solar Lantern I just love this so much or you can glue the solar light to
the top and take one of Dollar Tree's planter hangers and put this outside as Decor it looks so
nice and I just love the glow that this gives off another awesome item in this collection were
these ceramic Decor balls that's what Dollar Tree is calling them but these look a lot more
expensive than a dollar and 25 cents these are very on Trend right now and I wanted to share
a few different styling ideas for these but I can only imagine these will be super popular so
if you see them grab them because everything is telling me these won't last long okay so the next
new item that I'm loving from Dollar Tree has to be their new bags Dollar Tree always has a bunch
of different totes and bags that you can use for all kinds of purposes and they're always coming
out with new Styles and Prints but by far these are my favorites I love the tropical leaf print
that's on the front in the back and check out the size these are really large they can hold a lot
of stuff so they would make an excellent Beach or pull toads and because they're not very thick you
can fold them up and put them in your suitcase and they're not going to take up much room at all now
I plan to use these as reusable shopping bags and I don't know about you guys but I always forget to
bring my bags inside the store and if you're the same way here's a little hack that's been working
for me so just go over to the automotive section at Dollar Tree and pick up one of these Mega
carabiners and attach your bags to the back of your passenger seat headrest in your car where you
can always see them and that way you're reminded to take them inside the store with you when you
go I am a very visual person so this is a trick that works for me just try it out and let me know
if it works for you too and do not sleep on the Dollar Tree's baby section you guys there are some
really great items there especially of course if you have a baby I've just seen a lot of brand new
items in this section and one item that I thought was really cool was this mini silicone popsicle
mold and even on the back of the packaging it says this is great for kids or adults and I have
a few different ideas for this but over the summer I want to use this as portion control for ice
cream yes I love ice cream but this will allow me to just have a little bit of ice cream when I
want it kind of to satisfy that craving and keep me on track for my weight loss goals now another
area in Dollar Tree where I'm seeing a lot of new items is in the sunglasses or eyewear section and
the first thing that caught my eye no pun intended were these folding sunglasses and I saw that there
was a carrying case to go with them so I did go ahead and get that too but I am just so impressed
with these sunglasses and I'll give you a little demonstration so this is what the sunglasses look
like when you get them they're all folded up and then of course you want to unfold them and they
unfold super easily just like that and then you can put them on but the style of these is just so
nice it's like a very classic sunglasses look and even the lenses are a bit darker than my normal
sunglasses so they block out a decent amount of light and then when you're done using them they
fit perfectly inside of this zippered case now would I use these as my everyday sunglasses nope
I wouldn't but these would be awesome to keep in your car as a backup or an emergency pair just
throw this in your glove compartment or center console and this is hardly going to take up any
space at all these are also great for travel especially if room is limited it and let me just
tell you Dollar Tree I courts are not like they used to be they are so cute now there are so many
prints and patterns to choose from I picked up this really beautiful floral print and these work
well with of course your eyeglasses but they also work really well with your sunglasses too now
I can't tell you how many times I've lost my sunglasses in the ocean or at a water park or even
just tubing down the river that's something I love to do if you love to do any of those activities as
well this is a great thing to have on hand during the summer time and these are really easy to use
you just place the plastic loop around the Temple Bar of the sunglasses and tighten and then you can
wear your sunglasses like normal or if you're not using them you can just have them hang around
your neck like this it's very comfortable so your sunglasses aren't going to get accidentally
knocked off your face by a rogue wave or if they do they'll be right here around your neck or
if you're at a water park or at the river or at the lake all of those places you're going to
be glad you have this during the summer and do not miss out on these eyeglass pouches they are
so adorable this is another product that you can use with sunglasses sunglass cases can be really
bulky and this will protect your sunglasses if you need to throw them in your purse or in a tote and
just to show you your sunglasses go in the middle of the pouch like this and then you're just going
to snap the pouch closed and I'm telling you guys your sunglasses aren't going anywhere they're nice
and secure and then on the back here there is a loop where you can hang your case or pouch up if
you would like and then there's another snap Loop closure where you can attach this to a pull tote
or beach bag take this with you on the go attach it to your purse whatever you can do all of that
with this little pouch so I think it is so cute first and then just such a practical item to have
on hand for the spring or summer time and you can also use this eyeglass pouch for your sunglasses
but there's also a few other ways you can use this as well it's a really versatile item that comes
out every year at Dollar Tree with new prints and colors I picked up this Citrus theme print that
I thought was so cute and my favorite thing about these pouches is the easy open and close design
that keeps everything nice and secure inside so nothing that you put inside of here is going to
fall out so my favorite way to use these pouches is to conceal feminine products if I have to
put some in my purse to take with me on the go everything is together it's not going to fall
out in my purse and also it just kind of conceals them too you can also put makeup brushes inside of
here and stationary pins as you travel it's always a good idea to have pins on you wherever you go
but I love this pouch so much and I think it's such a great item to pick up from Dollar Tree
and speaking of travel chances are this summer if you're going on a vacation you'll probably find
yourself on an airplane and did you know airplanes are only deep cleaned every four to six weeks yes
it's not the fun thoughts to think about but this is just something I have to recommend because
when you get on a plane and you start to think about all the flights that have happened during
that span of time and not knowing where you are during that span of time if it's the six week
period you're at the end of that you are going to be surrounded by a lot of germs so I have to
recommend when you are at Dollar Tree picking up a pack of these disinfecting wipes it's just
a little to-go pack that you can throw in your personal item that you take with you on the plane
and you can wipe down your tray table your seat belt your seat if you have a window seat maybe
just wipe that down if you're going to lean your head on it anything that you are going to touch
on the plane just wipe it down I just feel like it's better to be safe than sorry and during
your next Dollar Tree trip you can just pick up a few packs of these to keep for yourself
give to friends family just to make sure they don't get sick on their upcoming vacation now
considering how dirty planes usually are I do want you to start the thinking about your travel
pillow and keeping that clean because a lot of people just use the same travel pillow and they
take it with them throughout the airport on the plane and then just keep using it over and over
again and you guys that's just a lot of germs so this next hack is really affordable it's really
easy and I'll just tell you first I use a normal size pillow when I travel it's just a lot more
comfortable than any travel pillow I've ever used and then two I go over to the section of
Dollar Tree that has the different pillowcases and I will pick up several to take with me on my
trip and you want to wash them of course before you take them with you not only will that make
sure they're clean it's also going to soften up the material a little bit and they have a lot of
different prints and designs to choose from that are really cute so I got this case from Dollar
Tree recently I just think it is really cute um but what you're going to do is you're going
to take with you a couple of different cases on your trip so the first pillowcase or cover your
going to use as you carry your pillow through security throughout the airport as it's resting
on your suitcase and then what you're going to do is once you get on the plane you're going to
pull out another pillowcase and put it over your pillow switch out the cases so you have a fresh
clean pillowcase to rest your head on and then on the flight home you are going to switch out your
pillowcase again to have a fresh clean pillowcase to lay your head on for the ride home or the
returning flight I'm just telling you guys it's such a cheap way to make sure your travel pillow
is germ free and I just love this hack so so much for a dollar and 25 cents you can buy a pillowcase
at Dollar Tree they come in a lot of different fun prints like this and just germ free is the way
to be and nobody wants to be sick on vacation so that's a little hack that I wanted to share
with you guys and when it comes to staying germ free another great item to have have on hand all
the time is of course hand sanitizer and Dollar Tree does have these three ounce bottles of hand
sanitizer in different scents and here's a cool hack you can do with these to make them a little
bit easier to take with you on the go you just need to go over to the tech section at Dollar
Tree and grab some of these phone rings that have straps attached to them there's a variety to
choose from and then grab a permanent glue I would suggest using a6000 or the fix all adhesive from
Dollar Tree and glue the phone ring to the bottom of the hand sanitizer then just let the glue dry
for a few hours and then you'll be left with these really nice on the go hand sanitizers and as long
as you use a great permanent glue like the two that I mentioned you should be good to go there
should not be any issue with the ring staying on the bottle these will be really really durable
and will last a long time and when the bottles are empty you can just refill them now as you're
in the tech section there are a couple of items worthy of your dollar and 25 cents and the first
one is this earbuds case if you you have air pods this is a great protective case for those because
if you're anything like me these are so small and they get lost in my bag all the time but if I put
them in here they're a little bit easier to find I also love putting medicine inside of these because
you just never know when you might get a headache or a stomach ache and those are never fun to have
especially when you're away from the house or on vacation and this just keeps all of your medicine
neat and tidy and easy to locate when you need it I am also a big fan of this phone stand and
these come in a lot of different prints and colors I picked up this black one I just thought
it was really fun with the glitter in it and this is another product that's not going to take up
much room in your purse or travel bag and whether you're sitting at the gate waiting for your plane
or once you're on the plane you can put this on your tray table and watch your favorite TV shows
or movies that you've downloaded to your phone on your flight but I also like to use this around
the house I think it is so funny I have a nice big TV in my living room but I find myself watching a
majority of TV shows and YouTube videos and things like that on my small phone and if you're a
big FaceTime user or if you like to talk to people through video chat on your phone this just
makes that super easy to do and hands-free these phone pockets are also an excellent item they are
designed to stick onto the back of your phone so you can easily store your credit cards your IDs
and cash things like that but that's not how I use these or at least I don't attach this to the
back of my phone I use this as a slim wallet when I'm at an event that only lets me carry in a tiny
purse so for example I'll be going to the Taylor Swift concert soon and the venue only allows you
to bring in small bags so instead of taking a normal sized wallet that's going to take up a lot
of valuable space I grab this and put my ID and credit cards in here so everything is together
and easy to find in my purse but it's taking up literally no space at all so last year I did a
video where I focused on must-have items for girls at Dollar Tree I will have that video linked down
in the description box below but in that video I raved about this next product and it is a mirror
with a brush it comes in this little compact and what I noticed at Dollar Tree is that these are
coming in brand new colors for the spring and summer time I picked up this pink one it has these
little green bristles that are really cute but all you have to do is pop up the brush like this and
then you can use it and it actually does really work and then it's got a handy mirror here so I
think this is such a fantastic item to grab from Dollar Tree if you um have hair so guys can use
this as well it's not just like a girl product but I did want to Rave about this product in
that video and then also tell you guys that it's available in some fun new colors okay so moving on
now to some more new products that I'm loving and if you've been to Dollar Tree lately then you've
most likely noticed all of the gardening items that have been put out for the spring and summer
time and these watering steaks are a fantastic find there are a couple of different colors to
choose from but my personal favorite are the clear they just blend in so well and don't really take
away from the plant's aesthetic but all you have to do to use these is fill the globe with water
and then stick it into the soil and the plant will water itself it's so neat this is great because
it works on both indoor and outdoor plants and is perfect for summer travel because no one wants
to come home to dead plants that would be really sad so typically at Dollar Tree I would tell you
to skip on the candles they're not worth a dollar and 25 cents should get more bang for your buck
elsewhere but I did come across these recently and I think they are really great this one is sea
glass and Driftwood and this one is Surf and Sand and both of these smell so good they're also in
these really beautiful canisters and if you want these to smell or to give off any throw you do
have to put them in a small room these are not large room candles but these are just gorgeous
little candles they also smell really nice too so these be on the lookout for a Dollar Tree if
you love little candles to add to a bathroom or small space now if you've been with my channel for
a while now you will know I love these magnetic photo frames and in the past Dollar Tree only gave
us one size the four inch by six inch version and now they have given us a larger version a five
inch by seven inch size which is really exciting especially if you love these as much as I do and
I have a couple in my fridge right now and what I love to do with these is give them as gifts so
what I can recommend is if you have a friend or a family member and you want to give them a special
gift go to their Instagram or their Facebook find a photo that means something to them maybe even a
photo of their pets people love getting photos of their pets and then just print that out and put
it in one of these photo frames and give it to them as part of their gift and people love this
you guys because so many people these days don't print out photos and it's just a really thoughtful
thing and a really affordable thing that you can do for someone that you care about and anyone that
I've ever done this for just loves it alright guys so that's it for this first edition gin of items
